Thank you God!!

Show of hands~ Who saw the commercial for these and flipped out and did a handstand and lick the T.V screen? Dont be shy, because I did. I saw the commercial about 3weeks ago and have been on the hunt for them. Well I found them! Yup, I found them at a 711 and I bought 6 bags!

Ok what these are, is Reese's cup but SMALLER. No, these are not the Bites that are in the foil. These are 1/3 the size of those! In other words, TINY!
This isnt a review, Im telling you to get them. Go now! Go! :]
Now if you dont mind I have 2 more bags to finish up~ <3

Reina de la noche

"Queen of the night"

The Night-blooming Cereus is also known as the Lunar Flower or Moon Flower.
A green, long, dead, ugly plant that looks much like a cactus with no thorns, surrounds Punahou School. But little do many know, these plants are really the Night-blooming Cereus! A plant that's flowers only blooms twice a year, at night. So getting a glimpse of this rare sight is something I had to shoot. It was well worth missing work to catch this interesting and rare flower on film~

3rd annual Convention of Noise

So for those who don't know I am a photographer for SpeedHawaii.com (check it out btw lol) and what I do is go to car shows, meets or anything car related and shoot pictures and book photo shoots for featured rides for the site (check it out btw LOL).
SpeedHawaii was asked if we could cover the 3rd annual Convention of Noise at ForJworks. Many of the staff members couldn't make it so it was up to me and another photographer, Rhi Kanda. So the first challenge was squeezing through thick traffic to get to the Pearl City meet. While in traffic I spotted Rhi driving and was able to get in front of her to lead her to the place. After a few tries, we found the place. A small group of 20 and their bikes talking story and enjoying beers and home made cookies.
The two owners were very happy to see us and got all the bikes ready to be shot one by one. Each was built in their own way by different people. After seeing these small bikes, it made me want one. LOL

This hasn't even been posted on SpeedHawaii.com (check it out btw lmao) yet so you are getting first look at this. Please enjoy the beauty of the Ruckus and the hard work put into them. :]

"The Zoomer is a motorscooter developed by Honda and introduced in Japan and America in late 2002. In Canada and the USA, the scooter is sold as the Ruckus. The Zoomer differs from more traditional scooters with its rugged design, including fatter tires with deeper tread and a skeleton frame that intentionally lacks an enclosed storage compartment."

Homemade doughnuts!!

So I love doughnuts~ that's a fact. I love so cook/bake too~ So one day when I had some free time, I made doughnuts from scratch. The recipe came from Alton Brown's "Good Eats" episode about doughnuts. They came out so yummy! I have to make them with the wife next time~ She would love it!

You can see how I used a korean metal dish to cut the shape and then used a small cup that is used to measure out cough syrup to cut out the doughnut holes. ><;;;

photo shoot with my motorcycle!

So people wanted me to post pictures of myself so I will try to more often~ :]
So this was a photo shoot collaboration with a friend. I modeled with my motorcycle while he took picture with my camera. Then I post processed them. That's what I call teamwork!

Anyways! Here they are~ Taken with my Canon 40D by my friend Haku, with my Suzuki GSXR. :]

Ilikai Yacht harbor adventure

Funny Story time!!
I went to shoot at the Ilikai yacht harbor to shoot the boats and what not. So I was walking around looking for nice sets to shoot and I walked down the docks and notice that the fence that leads out to the private docks was open. So of course I take advantage of this and sneak onto the private docks to get some killer shots. Setting up taking shots I get a tap on my shoulder by the cops! Telling me I had to leave. LOL!! I left embarrassed but I also left with some awesome pictures.

North Shore Trip With the wife

Earlier this year, the wife and I took a road trip to the north shore to get some Kahuku Shrimp. It was a two hour drive to and from but driving around with my baby is one of the most favorite things I love to do. There are a handful of well known Kahuku shrimp/prawn places on the north shore but we picked the one my wife loved the most, Romy's. I always went to Giovanni's but it was just as good if not better.
I can wait until we go again~

I ♥ Shave Ice

I love shave ice.... I just love it....

My most favorite place to get some is Waiola~

Honolulu Marathon 2010

I grabbed my camera and headed down to the Honolulu Marathon 2010 to support my wife's stepdad who was running this 26.2 mile challenge. He completed it in a little over 5 hours, an impressive time for his first time running. A part of my deep inside wants to try run this years marathon~ Just have to convince the wife to run with me. :]

This father and son completed the marathon hand-in-hand. The boy is so cute I could help but shoot them with beautiful Diamond Head in the back ground.

Waikiki: after the sunsets

I went out to the Ilikai to shoot the sunset. Sadly I got to the spot too late and the sun had already set... But walking back to my I spotted that the beach that is still normally heavily populated was completely empty. I threw down my tripod and camera and snapped a bunch of pictures before anyone could step into my shot.

This picture is of the Rainbow Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village at dusk.

Seeing life through my lens

The skies were beautiful and clear and thought that the reflection off the rear end of the camera lens would be a beautiful shot...and it was~
I normally don't recommend you exposing the rear side of the lens to the elements but I was in a dust free, controlled environment. I didn't want to ruin a $1,200 lens~ ;]

Great to live in Hawaii

This picture was taken with my 40D of my friend's T1i with Waikiki's night life in the back.

HellaFlush 2011

So I went down to shoot HellaFlush 2011 for SpeedHawaii. A great thing was that we didn't have to stand in the 500 mile long line and got media passes. Being one of the first to enter was a huge plus being that I didn't have people getting in the way of my shots.
It was a much better turn out then last years show and I was happy to see new cars. The skies where gray but that didn't stop the sun from baking everyone. Luckily it didn't rain and the gray skies added a dark effect to my photos. So you will notice that I processed these differently.
Still a great show and please enjoy my pictures.
